Kathryn-kay Johnson

I’m a Jamaican-born, South Florida-raised graphic designer and art director. I am driven by the desire to create work around the powerful, inarticulable, contradiction-filled crises and delights of the human experience. I am currently a Graphic Design MFA candidate at the Yale University School of Art. Previously, I’ve designed for Fortune 500 retailers, founded BTWN Culture Apparel, a socially-conscious streetwear brand focused on black and multicultural experiences, and won the NYX Marcom Grand Prize for Corporate Identity Design for my design work for the City of Homestead while serving as the Junior Art Director at The Brand Collective creative agency in Miami.
